Gen AI, MYP Electronic Assessment, and teacher resilience sessions.

I attended the IB Forum Series, and three sessions left the strongest impression on me: “The Application of Generative AI in Chinese Language Education,” “MYP Electronic Assessment,” and “Supporting Student Well-being and Teacher Resilience.” These lectures explored Chinese language education in international schools from three complementary perspectives—teaching tools, assessment design, and holistic student support. Together, they deepened my understanding of Chinese language teaching within an international education context and enhanced my awareness of teachers’ professional development and personal growth.

課程期間,我參加了 1B 系列講座,其中三場讓我的印象最為深刻,主題分別為“Gen AI 在中文教育中的應用”、“MYP 電子化評估”及“支援學生身心健康與教師韌性”。這三場講座從教學工具、評估設計與人文關懷三個維度,深化了我對國際教育中中文教學的理解,也對教師發展、成長有了一定的認識!

IB pedagogy and AI in education — fresh insights into teaching.

One of the most memorable aspects of the programme was the series of IB Forums. These forums invited experienced teachers from international schools to share their perspectives and classroom practices. I found the sessions on IB pedagogy and the application of AI in education particularly inspiring, as they frequently gave me fresh insights into teaching and learning.

項目期間舉辦的 IB forum 讓我印象非常深刻。這些論壇邀請了很多一線有經驗的國際學校老師分享觀點和教學實踐,特別是關於B 教學和 AI運用的內容,常常讓我有一種眼前一亮的感覺。

From forum ideas to a Grammar Adventure Island classroom game.

The IB Forums provided practical ideas that could be directly applied in the classroom. As I attended each session, I reflected on how these strategies could be adapted to my own teaching and gradually incorporated them into my lesson design. Motivated by the AI session, for example, I created a simple web-based “Grammar Adventure Island” game to help my Grade 10 students review grammar. The activity increased student engagement and showed me how AI can effectively support language teaching and learning.

IB Forum 中的信息可以直接转化为课堂实践的资源,于是在我在听讲座时持续思考这些做法我能不能用在自己的课堂上。在不断尝试与调整的过程中,我也逐渐将其中的一些理念迁移到自己的教学设计中。在解锁GEN AI 赋能教育的中文教学的论坛中,我受到了很大的启发。我尝试使用编写简单的网页程序,设计了“语法探险岛小游戏”,用于帮助十年级的学生复习语法点,十分有收获!
